With the rise of EV’s, will the traditional gas station disappear?
We don’t think so. EV’s will continue to grow in popularity, but they’ll likely not replace the need for gas stations. Over the years gas stations have become less reliant on selling gas with convenience stores, food service and car washes being added to gas stations as other ways to keep their locations profitable.
Gas sales may decline as EV’s become more desirable, however, customers will continue to visit gas stations in their community to purchase typical convenience store merchandise, prepared food and to wash their vehicles – and also to purchase gas. Some gas stations will also offer EV charging as a profit centre too.
Gas stations are an important part of every community, and there are many reasons why they will not disappear.
